Have always had good luck with pre-owned iPhones. With the exception of this one. It has so many scratches and dings on it I can’t believe they resold it. Very disappointed in Verizon for this one.

Phone seems fine. Battery at 89% health. Wish they had put a little more effort into cleaning it thoroughly -- some grime around side buttons. But overall, worth saving a couple hundred bucks.

They forgot to activate the Sim Card, so we couldn’t use the phone for two days. (That was the quickest we could get to a Verizon Store.) Phone seems okay now. Everything else is fine.

Are there any cancellation fees, if we upgrade and pay the full one time payment price, but cancel this line shortly after? My son, a recent college graduate, may be relocating, signing up for his own plan, or have a phone provided by his employer.

what does Certified Pre-Owned mean?

CPO is a phone that's been used and has been certified to be in good working condition and is able to be used on a phone line.
